Come along to a relaxing and fun workshop and learn how to make the clothes you love last.  You will learn to repair and embellish your clothing using embroidery, appliqué, patching, darning and needle felting to make them a delight to wear again.

Stitching is a great life skill which can save you money, save your clothes and reduce your impact on the environment. You will learn some hand stitching techniques that offer lots of creative possibilities for repairing & enhancing your clothes and household textiles.

Your Grandparents would have known how to make things around the home and their clothes last by repairing and remaking. In this workshop you will learn some of these traditional repair skills to enable you to add contemporary flair to patching and darning your clothes. Mending can become an opportunity for wonderful decoration as well as saving money and reducing the amount of clothing going to landfill.


This workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced stitchers. A range of materials will be available for you to use during the workshop including fabrics, threads, yarn and buttons.

A materials fee of $5 is payable to the tutor.
